Our first major fundraiser, the Party Gala, is right around the corner. Of all of the fundraisers I have heard of and participated in, this one happens to be one of my favorites! It showcases a lot of creativity on the part of the parents (the basket making ideas over the years have been fabulous) and provides a great deal of shopping opportunities for all to enjoy. Families get to come and enjoy a fun evening of socializing and shopping, all while supporting the school.
I realize fundraising and preschoolers are not two words that one would often think go together. However, fundraising has become a necessary event in this day and age when funds are tight and expectations are high. Our goal is to provide the best possible experience for the kids while maintaining a reasonable and fair tuition. Tuition at school covers the very basic of costs for staffing and materials for our preschoolers. By participating in a few fundraisers a year, we are able to constantly update our rotation of toys, games and activities. Fundraising has allowed us to add enrichment programs, expand our playground, buy many new toys, update our facility and provide exciting training opportunities that allow our teachers to learn new concepts and techniques to teach our students.
We are so fortunate at BFP to have families who are always willing to lend a hand, come to a fundraiser or donate to one. We know we could never achieve the success we have had with our fundraisers without the constant support and enthusiasm of our families. While we know every fundraising event we may do may not appeal to everyone (and we would never want anyone to feel like they have to participate), we truly appreciate all that our families do and we are thankful to be able to provide a rich and stimulating experience for all of our children through this generosity!
